Thanh Hoa will have a North Central Logistics Center of 6,000 billion VND
Three enterprises have just proposed to Thanh Hoa province to implement the project of investment in North Central Logistics Center and infrastructure of Industrial Park No. 6 – Nghi Son Economic Zone with a total investment of about 6,000 billion VND.
Recently, Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee had a meeting with the business delegation ASHICO-SNP-MOL including 3 companies: Asia Financial Investment and Management Joint Stock Company (Ashico); Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) – New Port Services Joint Stock Company (TCO) and Northern New Port Maritime Joint Stock Company. In which, Asia Asset Management and Investment Joint Stock Company (ASHICO) is a company operating in three main business areas: supplying oil and gas service ships; providing shipping and logistics services; providing manpower including crew members and workers working abroad.
At the meeting, representatives of the business delegation, General Director of ASHICO Company proposed to implement the investment project of North Central Logistics Center and Infrastructure of Industrial Park No. 6 – Nghi Son Economic Zone (KKTNS) with 3 main items: investment in industrial zone infrastructure; to build the North Central Coast Logistics Center, serving the logistics needs of Nghi Son economic zone and Thanh Hoa province as well as neighboring areas; International deep-water port welcomes ships of 50,000 DWT.
The investor also gives a specific roadmap for the implementation of the Project, divided into 2 phases, phase 1 is from 2021 to 2024 to carry out construction items of the operating area, water supply station, power station, station. wastewater treatment, regulating lakes…; Phase 2 from 2025 to 2028 completing the infrastructure of the entire project, trees and other technical infrastructure projects … Total investment capital of the project is about 6 trillion VND, the estimated total area of premises used is 395ha.
The goal of the project is to build a Logistics center for the North Central region, to serve the logistics needs of KKTNS, Thanh Hoa province as well as neighboring areas, to build a deep-water port to accommodate ships of 50,000 DWT and supply full of major logistics services as stipulated in Decree No. 140/2007 / ND-CP of the Government … It is expected that when the project is completed and put into operation, it will create jobs for about 20,000 workers, contributing to increase revenue for the provincial budget, develop industries and fields related to logistics services; meeting the infrastructure needs of investors at KKTNS. Over the past time, representatives of the business delegation have actively coordinated with the Management Board of the Youth Union and the industrial zones of Thanh Hoa province to research and overall assess the economic, cultural – social factors of the province as well as sub-regions. approach, from there to orient the goals and investment plans for the above-mentioned project development.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Mai Xuan Liem – Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee welcomed and welcomed the business delegation of ASHICO Company and partners who were interested and proposed the project of investment in North Central logistics center. and infrastructure of industrial park No. 6, in the KKTNS.

Especially recently, the Politburo has issued Resolution No. 58 / NQ / TW on the construction and development of Thanh Hoa province until 2030, with a vision to 2045. Accordingly, Thanh Hoa is identified as one of the poles of increasing Chief of Vietnam and the development quadrilateral of the Northern region. Therefore, the proposal to invest in Thanh Hoa province has shown the strategic vision of the business delegation ”, emphasized Mr. Mai Xuan Liem.
