Required Documents for Quality Inspection:

Application for steel quality inspection (as per the form in Annex V of Circular 58/2015/TTLT-BCT-BKHCN).
A certified copy of the standard conformity certification or inspection certificate issued by an accredited certification or inspection organization.
Purchase contract (Contract), packing list (Packing List), commercial invoice (Invoice), bill of lading (Bill of Lading), certificate of origin (C/O).

Processing Time:

If the application is complete, the inspection authority will issue a quality inspection result notice within three working days.
If the application is incomplete, the inspection authority will request additional documents within 25 working days.

2. Complete Customs Procedures

Submit the customs declaration and prepare a complete application package.
Bring the application to the Customs Sub-Department to proceed with the next steps following the prescribed process.

3. Collect Samples for Conformity Assessment

After customs clearance, you may transport the goods to your warehouse or conduct inspections at the port of arrival.
Contact an accredited certification or inspection organization for quality assessment. Results are typically available within 5–7 working days.

4. Submit Conformity Certification Results

Submit the assessment results to the Department of Standards, Metrology, and Quality to complete the import process.

For steel products with HS codes listed under special requirements, you must provide additional import demand confirmation from the Department of Industry and Trade and declare the imported steel approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
