  • Imported toys must have designs, content, and usage that do not harm or negatively impact the child’s character development and do not pose a health risk as specified in Article 6 of this Circular.

Legal Policies

Children’s toys are not on the list of goods prohibited from import, so businesses can import and trade them as usual. However, according to Clause 4, Section B, Appendix III of Decree 60/2018/ND-CP, imported children’s toys must comply with technical conditions and do not require an import license.

 

HS Code

Children’s toys fall under Chapter 95, Group 9503. Different toys will have different HS codes. You can refer to the specific HS code according to the type of toy.

 

Import Tariff

The value-added tax (VAT) on children’s toys is 5% or 10%, depending on the type. For goods imported from countries that have free trade agreements with Vietnam, the special preferential import tax could be 0%.
